A New Village Hall for Gunthorpe

Preparing the Parish Plan is giving us the opportunity to look at facilities within the village for young and old and to ensure that we can provide opportunities for all.

The Village Hall has served the community well for many years. It is now in need of an overhaul to improve and extend the facilities, to meet the needs of people as was indicated by the results from the recent questionnaire sent to all the villagers. These could include sports facilities to replace the sports pavilion which was destroyed by fire in 2006.

We are fortunate to have our village field. We are looking to further develop this outside space for community use with a play park for the little ones and an enclosed hard surface area for older children to complement the facilities already in existence.
Perhaps a garden area and picnic tables too. The action group to be set up to pursue these objectives requires input from interested villagers.
